Crazy Gifts

Here's a tough one. What do you get for the person who has everything? Perhaps now is the time to look into a crazy gift, a gift that will be fun and make a lasting impression. A crazy gift is easy to find, especially if your local mall has a novelty store.

Does the person you are buying for have a hobby or interest? Then I bet they would appreciate a crazy gift that ties into that hobby or favorite pastime. If they enjoy fishing, one of those ridiculous wall mounted singing fish would have been great a few years ago. The idea is worn out now, but what's new and hot? If they love racing, how about one of those giant remote control cars that does tricks. I bet he'd think it's awesome.

Maybe you're shopping for the intellectual type who might not appreciate your average crazy gift. Consider a more expensive option. Did you know there are heated toilet seats, monogrammed toilet paper and gold rimmed toilet seat covers? I bet they don't have one of those. Yes they probably need to be special ordered, but they're sure to make a lasting impression (I don't mean that literally unless the seat is too hot).

Getting the right gift for children presents a new challenge. Some kids may not appreciate a crazy gift. However there are crazy gifts that most children will love. Among smaller kids, personalized books or music CD's that contain his or her name are almost always a hit. My kids loved anything of a slimy and gooey nature, although personally I cringed. Monogramed sports balls and tricked out bikes are also "cool".

If you've got a chocolate loving friend, how about an edible gift. Chocolates come in all kinds of crazy shapes now. Butterflies, neckties, boats, fish, body parts (eww) and planets are among the hundreds of designs that are sure to be loved. Candies can be made to look like a bouquet of flowers or bunches of balloons. Not only are they a great crazy gift, but a wonderful treat!

But you're in a hurry and need to find a gift fast. The Internet has the answer. Use any search engine and you'll find thousands of links to point you in the direction of a crazy gift.

You'll find such items as gift balls that are sent instead of cards, anatomically correct aprons and t-shirts, trick golf balls, anti-stress putty, invisible playing cards, levitating globes, wire puzzles, water powered calculators, clocks that run the wrong direction and much more.

In fact there are so many choices that when you're looking for a crazy gift, you just might come away buying more than one. Now there's a really crazy idea.
